Rememto is designed with privacy at its core. Your activity data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to external servers or shared with third parties. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
Data Collection
Information You Provide
- Activity titles: Names you give to activities (e.g., “Changed bedsheets”).
- Activity details: Optional descriptions you add.
- Categories: Category assignments for organisation.
- Dates: When you mark activities as completed.
- App preferences: Settings like theme and sorting.
Information We Don't Collect
- Personal identification information.
- Location data.
- Device information beyond what's essential for functionality.
- Usage analytics or tracking data.
- Advertising identifiers.
Data Storage
Local storage only: All data is stored on your device using iOS data containers. Your information never leaves your device.
No cloud backup: Rememto does not currently support iCloud backup or synchronisation.
No servers: Rememto does not use external databases or cloud services.
Data Sharing
Your data is never shared with third parties. No analytics SDKs or ad networks are used.
Data Security
- iOS security: Benefits from device-level encryption.
- Local-only: No network transmission, reducing interception risk.
- Sandboxing: iOS confines the app to its own data container.
Your Rights & Control
- Access: View all data within the app.
- Modify: Edit or delete any activity at any time.
- Delete: Remove individual entries or delete the app to remove all local data.
- Export: Not currently available; data remains accessible in-app.
App Updates
Updates are delivered through the App Store. No personal data is transmitted during updates, and your local data remains on-device.
Children's Privacy
Rememto does not knowingly collect information from children. Since data is stored locally and not transmitted, the app can be used by all ages under appropriate supervision.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here and the “Last updated” date will change. Significant updates may also be mentioned in release notes.
